Border Crossing Senegal to Guinea Bissau (Ziguinchor to Bissau)

The car was comfortable but the road was very dusty. Cars leave early morning between 6 and 7 am, they cost 4.000 francs and go straight from the main Ziguinchor station to Bissau. They charged extra +1000 francs for my 40 litters backpack. When I arrived at the station at 7 am the first car was already full and left. I had to wait one more hour until I got the next car full. There is a ticket booth written Bissau where you can buy the tickets and give to the driver.

It’s a van bush taxi style, 3 in the back, 3 in middle and 3 in front. I had space for the legs and really really comfortable for Africa standards. Car left at 8 am, border from 8:30 till 9am. We arrived in Bissau at noon. Exit was quick and easy in Senegal.

In Guinea Bissau they check the visa (got in Ziguinchor the day before) and write all passport informations in a book by hand. After they give entry stamp.

Important disclaimer: Many roads in Guinea Bissau are dirty roads and windows are open, so plenty of dust come inside. Most of people use mask, to avoid inhaling all dust.
