Eastern Europe has gained fame for its intense nightlife and it is no wonder that Budapest, the capital of Hungary is a destination increasingly visited by partygoers on duty. The eye of the hurricane is kiraly utca street, where I stayed. In front of my hostel, the Wombat, there is a kind of open-air gallery only of restaurants and bars and it is called gozsdu udvar. Varied choices of restaurants, including Chinese food, among others. Some bars have discos in the sub-soil, which is the case of Kolour, where the actor Jude Law visited a few weeks before I was in the the city.
This gallery is a great place to cover your stomach and drink something before heading off to the famous Szimpla. Szimpla Kert is nothing more than a gigantic pub where people meet before heading to the clubs. The place is very trendy because besides the bars, you can smoke narghile and buy carrots for 100 forint each. As soon as you enter the house there is a giant Rabbit as a decoration.
The decor is a detail apart from the pub, scratched walls, various objects and a very rustic ambience. The house also has free Wifi as well as several other nightclubs in the city. Usually at two in the morning some groups start going out to the discos. If you liked Szimpla a lot you can stay there, but the nightclub options are so great that you will probably want to know some. I went to the Hello Baby Bar, a gigantic nightclub inside an old building and is considered one of the best by local people. To get in, I paid about 1000 forint earned 500 forint in consummation. This is a positive side of the city, since many places are free of charge and those who pay to enter have well-priced prices.
Another popular nightclub is ötkert and next to that there is also kraft, but it has a smaller capacity of people. Another one that I also visited on the first day in town was the Corvin tetö. Other interesting places to visit include the TALAP bars (next photo), köleves kert (last photo), Tip top bár, Instant and 360 bár. Have a good time!
