Lake Zurich is a unique place in the city and in the summer it is very crowded, whether with boats, people swimming and sunbathing at lakeside restaurants or its beautiful swans strolling. The lake has an area of 90 km ² and is a very important tourist attraction. From the top of one of the towers of the Großmünster, Zurich’s most important monastery, it is possible to have a breathtaking panoramic view and admire the beauty of the city and the movement of people and boats on the lake.

An interesting thing to do is enjoy the sunset on the shores of the lake. In summer it is full of tourists and locals, some even enjoying picnicking, drinking good wine and admiring the swans and the variety of ducks. Swimming is also possible but it is important to consult with locals if the place where you will jump is clean and safe given the movement of boats.
Last tip but not least do not forget to go for one of the restaurants and bars by the lake. Prices are salty, but even though they get crowded. At the end of the trip what is worth is the experience you live.
