Typical dish in Prague

Among my exploratory activities around the world, experiencing local gastronomy is a very important subject. Not only does it challenge the palate, but also to observer different environments. In Prague I visited the restaurant V CIPU, which is in a small alley also called V Cipu. Right at the entrance I come across a tripadvisor recommendation board, a renowned travel tips website. The restaurant was packed, so along with a Brazilian friend I met on the trip, we sat at the last table available between two beer tanks. A curious question about the Czech Republic is that several restaurants have their own brewed beer and the country has several handmade brands. The decor was funny, and on our side was a stuffed rat trapped in a mousetrap

I asked for the menu and ordered a typical dish of the place, the STEAK MILÁNO, which basically is a chicken breast topped with ham and cheese watered with a meat sauce similar to a wood sauce. There were a few variations of the dish and I ordered one that also came with dried tomatoes and vegetables.

The chicken was tasty, but I found the sauce a bit salty. The attendants were very friendly and seemed more like a local family. If you are in Prague, it’s worth a stop at this spot, and try their meal.
