Trekking in the Himalayas mountains

After a camping overnight in triund (view more details here) we woke up early and had one amazing breakfast. 140 IRD for delicious Nutella pancakes and 30 IRD for a cup of chai, milk with tea and flavours.

After that I started to warm up my self for a long hike.20150508_093106

We had a few stops to relax, including this stunning view a few hours before reaching the snow line above 3500 meters high.

Suddenly we saw a tent inside a hole in the snow. From this point further there was only snow and we weren’t properly dressed to keep on with the trekking.

We met the couple that slept this night in the tent. The owner of the tent had mattresses and thick linens to host people for a reasonable price. We had a seat to drink some chai and relax for a while. I talked with this man that informed me that he only lives there during the summer, in the period I was visiting India, in May.

For those who plan to do this trekking I strongly recommend to stay in this place , for sure will be the most authentic experience.

After that we hiked back to the triund. Over there we stopped for lunch, a 70 IRD omelette. We waited a bit for the rain to stop than we head back to the botton of the mountain in a 3 hour hike. Completely recommend this experience.
