If you want to treat your self spend one ore two nights over there, but if you are on a budget trip is is still possible to enjoy Monaco Principality. The trick is to sleep in Nice and to do a day trip to Monte Carlo by train. The distance is only 20 minutes and will cost you about 4 euros per way. The railway goes trough the coastline of France and the view is pretty awesome, with a few stops in beach districts. You can start early in the morning and head back in the end of the day.
