Eating a typical Bavarian dish

After a nice sailing trip in the Starnberg lake, we decided to eat local food in a nearby restaurant. With the mountains as a landscape, THE POST is a great spot to have typical Bavarian food.

Not that far away from Munich, the menu includes all kinds of typical food, including leberkäse (meatloaf), schweinerbraten (roasted pork), wurst (sausages), among other Bavarian cuisine specialties. We ordered the dish Schweinebraten mit 2 knödel, that is, roast pork with 2 balls, one being potato and one of bread. There is no translation for knödel, it’s kind of a cake. The dish cost 10.90 euros and was at a fair price considering the location and quality of the food. The taste of the food is great but a bit heavy for those with a sensitive stomach. To drink, we take the famous Weißbier, wheat beer brand König Ludwig.

I went with my father, Franz, my uncle, Beno and a friend, Edi.

When going to the bathroom, a surprise, beer barrels in place of urinals. On top of each urinal is the name of a beer, sort of a joke as if we were filling our glasses. In the lower urinal, of children was written soft drinks. Pretty nice decoration as well.
