After 8 hours in a bus that left San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, we already could feel the air difference. Monteverde is a small city full of nature and radical activities including the longest zip line in Latin America.
We booked the package with Adventure 100%, that include many zip lines and a 100 meters bungee called the super-man, where you have a rope in your waist. To go down the zip line of 1980 meters takes around 2 minutes and you will have mix feeling of fear and pleasure. The view is spectacular over the rainforest.
The bungee-jump was tense, after they opened the gate took me a while to jump. The guide gave me a slight push and there I was screaming and falling from a 100 meters building. When you are almost in the floor and realize you are still alive, the rope streches and send you all the way up again.
Beside of those great activities, the city includes a night walk in the forest to look for animals including spiders tarantula, snakes, insects and sloth. Another great activity you can do in Monteverde is the coffee and chocolate tour, a guided visit truought all the process of chocolate and coffee, from planting till the consume of the final product. It is really worth!
